Comicbook.com has shared new images of "Treehouse of Horror XXXIV," which premieres November 5 on Fox. Close The images involved showcase a Silence of the Lambs riff, with Lisa as Clarice Starling and Sideshow Bob in the Hannibal Lector role. Other images show Marge battling NFTs. But perhaps the most unsettling preview features a scenario where almost everyone ends up looking like Homer.
The Origins of Treehouse of Horror The first "Treehouse of Horror" episode aired in 1990, as part of The Simpsons season 2, though the on-screen title was "The Simpsons Halloween Special," and "Treehouse of Horror" wouldn't be used as an on-screen title until later. The idea, inspired by EC Comics and its horror tales, made series creator Matt Groening nervous.
The stated interest in the "Treehouse" episodes is that The Simpsons writers could break the usual format and approach of the show, for instance including violence that would not otherwise make its way into a regular episode.
