The police received a call for assistance around 5:10 pm and upon arrival, found the woman motionless inside the unit. She was later pronounced dead by paramedics. Preliminary investigations suggested that a 34-year-old man, believed to be linked to the incident, had left Singapore prior to the call.
Around 8 pm, about 10 police officers were seen outside the unit, with two police cars spotted at the block's entrance. This marks the ninth case of murder or alleged murder in Singapore in 2024
