\Since October 2025, the police have reported at least 11 cases of individuals being scammed out of a total of approximately $6,000 due to these fraudulent ticket schemes. The perpetrators are exploiting the high demand for Blackpink concert tickets by advertising fake tickets on popular platforms, including Carousell, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, TikTok, and Xiaohongshu. These scammers employ various tactics to deceive potential buyers. They often provide convincing screenshots or videos of counterfeit tickets or receipts to create an illusion of authenticity. They also frequently employ time-sensitive urgency, claiming that ticket availability is limited, or that they are operating under a tight deadline to secure sales. They then pressure the victims to make immediate payment, with the promise of delivering the tickets after the transaction is complete.\Once the payment is received, the scammers often vanish, leaving the victims without tickets and having lost their money. In some instances, the scammers may even request additional payments, alleging issues with the initial transaction. The victims only realize they have been scammed when the 'sellers' become unresponsive or when the tickets are never delivered. It is crucial to be aware that under Ticketmaster's terms and conditions, concert tickets are non-transferable and cannot be resold. Anyone found to have purchased resale tickets will be denied entry to the concert at the Singapore Sports Hub, where the National Stadium is situated, and will not receive a refund. Authorized tickets are issued directly to buyers through their Ticketmaster accounts and are not delivered via email.
