Singapore's new COVID19 imported cases include 3 people who travelled from India, 1 from the US, 2 from Indonesia: MOH
SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 132 new cases of COVID-19 as of noon on Saturday , including one in the community and six imported infections.The Ministry of Health said the only community infection was a 60-year-old Singaporean woman. She is a contact of a previously confirmed case and had earlier been placed on quarantine.
The remaining cases are dependant’s pass holders, two arrived from India on Jul 27 and one from the United States on Jul 26.The vast majority of the new infections are work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories. Several more dormitories have been cleared and now house only recovered individuals and those who have recently tested negative for COVID-19 infection.Closed dormitory clusters reported on Aug 8, 2020.
A total of 6,174 patients are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are people who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.completed testing all migrant workers living in dormitoriesThe workers in these facilities will be tested when their isolation ends, and the case counts are expected to remain high in the coming days before tapering down after, the ministry said.
