JUST IN: Singaporean who returned from India among the 2 imported COVID19 cases in Singapore today; 309 more patients discharged
SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 68 new COVID-19 infections on Thursday , including two imported cases and none in the community.NUMBER OF UNLINKED CASES REMAINED STABLEThis is also the third time in the past week that no community cases were reported. There were no new cases in the community on Aug 14 and 17.
"We will continue to closely monitor these numbers, as well as the cases detected through our surveillance programme," said the ministry. Both of them had been placed on stay-home notice after they arrived in Singapore, and tested while serving their notice, said the Ministry of Health .The inter-agency taskforce has completed the testing of all workers in dormitories. Currently, there are about 14,500 workers who are still serving their quarantine period. They will be tested when their quarantine ends, said MOH.
The ministry also said that two dormitories at Tech Park Crescent and 53 Sungei Kadut Loop have been cleared and now only recovered individuals and those who have recently tested negative for COVID-19 infection. As such, the two clusters have now been closed, it said.On Thursday, 309 more COVID-19 cases were reported to have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.
