The 2025 Henley Passport Index names Singapore as the country with the most powerful passport for the second year in a row.
Singapore has once again been ranked as having the world's most powerful passport according to the 2025 Henley Passport Index . This marks the second consecutive year Singapore has held the top spot. The Henley Passport Index , compiled by global citizenship and advisory firm Henley & Partners, ranks passports based on the number of visa-free destinations their holders can access.
Singapore currently holds the top position with visa-free access to 195 travel destinations, surpassing its previous ranking of 194 destinations shared with several other countries in January 2024. Malaysia ranks 12th in the 2025 index, with visa-free access to 183 travel destinations, a slight increase from last year's 182 destinations. At the bottom of the index is Afghanistan, with 26 visa-free travel destinations
