Jason Liang Huan Shuo , the owner of JDM Automobile and a partner at Autog@JDM, has been fined $1.5 million for fraudulent evasion of duty and GST on 427 imported vehicles. He pleaded guilty to three charges, including underpayment of customs duties and providing incorrect information about the value of vehicles.
Liang was involved in a scheme with a 49-year-old man to use 'fall guys' to import vehicles with suppressed values, allowing him to evade taxes and buy discounted vehicles from the newly formed company, Smartcar Auto
