Khairin's journey to Europe began in 2020 when he became the youngest debutant in the Singapore Premier League (SPL) at the age of 15 years and 298 days. While this record is now held by Nathan Mao, Khairin still holds the record for the second-youngest Singaporean to score in the SPL. Lion City Sailors' technical director Luka Lalic praised Khairin's technical abilities, quick thinking, and ability to beat defenders with pace and flair. Vizela's sporting director Toni Dovale echoed these sentiments, stating that he was impressed by Khairin during his trials and is excited to see his potential unfold. Vizela's first team currently competes in Liga Portugal 2, where they are in eighth place in an 18-team league.
