Snow to linger on mountain peaks during final, warm-ish weekend of February [Breaking]
The heavy snow that fell in the upper reaches of the San Diego County mountains this week should last through the weekend as the weather turns warmer and drier across Southern California, says the National Weather Service.
San Diego will only reach 62 on Friday, which is four degrees below average. But the temperature will jump to 69 on Saturday and Sunday and to 71 on Monday.Moderate Santa Ana winds will move into Southern California late Friday and peak on Saturday morning. But the winds will be comparatively light across San Diego County.Forecasters say a swell will arrive late Sunday and could produce 8 foot waves at Sunset Cliffs. Sea surface temperatures are in the 55 to 60 degree range.
