South African Retailer Woolworths’ New Fleet Of 41 Electric Delivery Vehicles Now On The Road

The new electric vehicles have been introduced on selected routes in Cape Town and Gauteng with further rollouts and extensions into KwaZulu Natal planned to follow as soon as possible. Ambassador Reuben Brigety said the U.S. government was certain the equipment was loaded onto a cargo ship that docked secretly at a naval base near the city of Cape Town for three days in December. He says the weapons were then brought to Russia. According to several South African news outlets, Brigety said South Africa’s alleged arming of Russia during its invasion of Ukraine was “extremely serious” and called into question South Africa’s supposed neutral stance in the conflict. Asked in Parliament about Brigety's comments, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said Thursday that an investigation was underway.
