Following our coverage, we were flooded with calls from business owners and residents in the area who said 50-70 cars would gather there at one time to race.

FILE - One person was killed in a southeast Columbus crash that may have been related to drag racing on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, police said. The accident happened around 11 p.m. at Moler Road and Progress Avenue. On April 13, WSYX covered anear the intersection of Moler Road and Progress Avenue. Columbus Police said that incident was related to street racing.

"It pretty much has come to a stop," Ohio Mulch owner Jim Weber said. "There hasn't been any drag racing activity out here.""We feared that something like that would happen,' he said. "It’s very disappointing that it did happen. But with all the activity that would be out here, I was certainly not surprised."
