The Spanish coffee shop got onto police radar after officers received tips that there seemed to be more consumption of narcotics nearby the business, perMonitoring the situation, officers for the “Trumpet” operation witnessed people entering and then exiting the shop within minutes. The police then “made several marijuana arrest warrants among the regulars at the ‘coffee shop,’ which confirmed the initial suspicions,” the publication reports.
So-called coffee shops, where cannabis and hash are bought and consumed, are commonplace in Amsterdam. customers must be 18 to 21, depending on the specific establishment, are allowed to come to the same shop no more than twice daily and can buy a maximum of five grams a day.Article content
