Diego Luna, the lead of the upcoming StarWars series Andor, confesses that he didn't expect to return to his Rogue One character, Cassian Andor. 'I thought it was going to be a one-time thing in my life ... I was ready to move on.'
The lead of Star Wars' upcoming Andor series, Diego Luna, has revealed he didn't think he'd return as Cassian Andor. The spy-thriller show will follow its titular character through the early beginnings of the Rebellion, in both the greater galaxy as well as the Imperial Senate. Returning along with Luna will be Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma, and joining them will be Stellan Skarsgård as Rebel leader Luther Rand, as well as Adria Arjona in an unidentified role.
"I remember living every day as if it was the last. I mean, I never thought of being part of this universe at all. I was just a fan, and one day I got a call. I thought it was going to be a one-time thing in my life, and I shared it with my kids, and I saw it. I was ready to move on. And then I was invited to [return for the show], and it made complete sense. I had so much more to say and do with this role.
