Sun’s team confirmed that its bid for the Taipei Arena was unsuccessful.
SINGAPORE – It has been a decade since home-grown Mandopop star Stefanie Sun last headlined her own tour, so when her upcoming world tour Aut Nihilo Sun Yanzi In Concert was recently announced, fans went into a frenzy.which kick off the tour, sold out so fast that the 46-year-old star promptly added another two shows at the same venue on April 12 and 13, which have since sold out too.
But fans in Taipei may not be able to see Sun in 2025. According to a report by Taiwanese news outlet Mirror Media, the singer, who is the founder of her own management agency Make Music, had tried to book a slot for her world tour at Taipei Arena – which can accommodate up to 15,000 people – in the second half of 2025.
When asked if she might consider booking the newly constructed Taipei Dome, which opened in 2023 and has a much bigger capacity of 40,000 seats, Sun’s team said: “We have to discuss that with the artiste, but it’s not something being considered at the moment.”
