Recipients of a food and utility subsidy program in Chelsea, Massachusetts, will receive their next payment from the program on Saturday. Payments ranging from $200 to $400 are going to 738 selected households.

A Chelsea city spokesperson told the Washington Examiner that the funds would be loaded on recipients' debit cards, which were issued in early March."Recipients of the program will be chosen using a lottery system," the program's website reads.
To be eligible, families had to have been residents of Chelsea with a household income of 30% less than the area median. Households of one would have to make less than $29,450, and households of two would have to make less than $33,650 to be part of the program. The amount increased for each additional member of the household.
The amount issued depends on how many people are in the household. A household of one will receive $200, a household of two will receive $300, and a household of three or more will receive $400.This payment marks the second one of this program to be issued to recipients. The first payment was already issued on March 15, and the final payment will be issued on May 15.
The spokesperson informed the Washington Examiner that the program would be discontinued after the final payment in May.
