U.S. equity futures moved lower as traders monitor talks for any progress in ending Russia's war on Ukraine and as they await government reports on growth and unemployment.

The Refinitiv forecast is for a seasonally adjusted annual growth rate of 7.1%. That’s slightly above the second estimate of 7.0%, and well above the 2.3% growth rate in the third quarter.In Asia, the Nikkei 225 in Tokyo fell 0.

On Wall Street, the benchmark S&P 500 index rose 1.2% to 4,631.60 for its fourth straight daily gain.
