“I made up my mind that I was going to greet them with open arms, and I went out as if it was a celebration,” said Craik School principal.

“It was great for our students,” said Edwards. “Every once in a while, we’ll get a band that stops in, but it was really nice to have this — especially because we just finished a unit on playing recorders. So they got to see a whole new world of instruments.” As the weather cleared and the road conditions improved, the band students returned safely to Manitoba.
