Suspected drunken driver died after striking railroad tracks, being ejected from vehicle, sheriff's office says
Deputies received a call around 11:11 p.m. from a resident who stopped to render aid to the man who was ejected from his vehicle, Luke Castillo with theIt appears alcohol was a factor in this crash, but the sheriff's office is still investigating, according to Castillo. The preliminary investigation did deem that the driver was attempting to navigate the northbound curve when he lost control of the car, struck the edge of railroad tracks and was ejected from the rolling vehicle.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a suspected drunk driver died Friday night when his vehicle struck railroad tracks, causing him to be ejected.A passenger was also in the car with the deceased, but he only suffered minor injuries and is in stable condition at a hospital, Castillo said."The driver was the only fatality," he said.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash either, Castillo said. The driver also didn't have on a seatbelt at the time of the crash, he said.
