Scott had a haul of four medals last year with a silver in the 200 individual medley and bronzes in two relays. “I definitely gained confidence because my 100 breaststroke was actually my worst stroke of all my events,” Scott said. “I gradually worked on my it until it got me to where I am today.”Reagan sophomore Montse Spielmann won the 100 butterfly and was third in the 200 freestyle.
“That was really motivating,” Spielmann said. “I just wanted to show improvement, and I wanted to show what I’m capable of, so I was really, really happy with today’s results.” “I raced against Carli a lot, and before the race, we were like, ‘Let’s get San Antonio on the podium,’” Spielmann said. “We did what we wanted to do. We were both really happy with that race. We both went best times, so that was really exciting.”
