Syrian regime calls on UN to denounce US President Trump's recognition of Israel's sovereignty over occupied Golan Heights
Regime official to UN Bashar Jaafri says western involvement in Syrian"was to ensure Israeli occupation of Arab territories and to ensure that occupation could go on forever," at UNSC meeting on Israel-occupied Golan Heights.
In a meeting of the UN Security Council on Wednesday, Bashar Jaafri claimed western involvement in the Syrian war "war was to ensure Israeli occupation of Arab territories and to ensure that that occupation could go on forever." It called on UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet to publicly say Trump's decision endangers the rights of Syrians living in the occupied Golan.
