Hall's question, then, appears to have only been the catalyst for Swift's sudden decision to, as the writer puts it, "get louder" about LGBTQ rights. "Rights are being stripped from basically everyone who isn’t a straight white cisgender male," Swift said of her reasoning. "I didn’t realize until recently that I could advocate for a community that I’m not a part of.
