Daily News | Temple drops its first conference game of the season in 87-76 loss to Tulane

In a rematch of the 2022 AAC Tournament quarterfinals, Temple’s three-game winning streak was snapped in an 87-76 loss to Tulane inside the Liacouras Center on Saturday.

The Green Wave forced Temple to take 34 three-pointers as the Owls were able to make just 11 of them. Without the ability to score in or protect the paint, the Owls couldn’t keep up and dropped to 3-1 in the conference standings. Temple went on a scoring drought of more than two minutes inside the final media timeout of the first half, leading to a 9-2 Tulane run that resulted in a 33-27 Green Wave lead. The Owls reverted to their stagnant four-out, one-in offense with little movement off the ball.
