NEW YORK - Andy Murray says his true self will be on show at a Grand Slam for the first time in three years this week at the US Open after battling back from a career-threatening hip injury.

"It's a long time ago and I know I've played a couple of slams since then but that wasn't really me on the court," he added. That, combined with the coronavirus pandemic shutdown, kept him out of competition until the ATP Western and Southern Open in New York this past week, where he reached the last 16.

The 2012 US Open champion said he was"pumped" to be back at Flushing Meadows for the first time since 2018.
