The transfer from LSU gets his first start Saturday against Miami.

Johnson will take over for the ineffective Haynes King as A&M’s starting quarterback, according to a program insider and first reported by Jeff Tarpley of 247Sports and the A&M student newspaper the Battalion. The No. 24 Aggies host No. 13 Miami at 8 p.m. Saturday, what is expected to be Johnson’s first start for A&M.
