Governor Greg Abbott is holding a news conference on Wednesday to discuss the steps the state is taking to prepare for an arctic blast that will drop temperatures statewide to dangerous lows.
Managers of the state’s power grid say that's because the temperatures won't stay as cold for as long, and ice isn't a factor this time around.
