The other two candidates – Mr Ng Kok Song and Mr Tan Kin Lian – received 15.99 per cent and 7.85 per cent of overseas votes respectively.
SINGAPORE: More than 76 per cent of overseas voters cast their ballots for Tharman Shamugaratnam in the Singapore Presidential Election, according to figures provided by the Elections Department on Tuesday .
Mr Tharman secured 2,834 of the 3,721 valid overseas votes – about 76.16 per cent. This compares with theThe other two candidates – Mr Ng Kok Song and Mr Tan Kin Lian – received 595 votes and 292 votes respectively.There were 78 rejected overseas votes.
