The DC Universe gets a toy-centric makeover.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The DC Universe is getting a plastic-molded makeover with a new line of covers courtesy of McFarlane Toys. A series of variants recreates iconic DC moments with action figures from the McFarlane Toys' DC Multiverse line.
Working with McFarlane Toys, several DC Comics releases will be getting covers that feature action figures from the DC Multiverse line. The plastic figures recreate several notable moments from DC history, such as Superman '78: The Metal Curtain #1's variant mimicking the Man of Steel's debut in Action Comics #1 or Batman #139's cover showing Bruce getting his back broken by Bane.
Variant covers are a fun experience for collectors, especially when there's a theme running through various series. In the past DC has featured covers recreating moments from DC's long history and even variants featuring toys . But this is the first dedicated month when McFarlane Toys will prominently feature on the covers of numerous DC series.
