The Hurry-Up: Austin Siereveld will choose from a final three of Ohio State, Notre Dame and Alabama next week, and Ohio State offers linemen Dashawn Womack and Jaelyne Matthews.
While many in the recruiting industry believe Siereveld will pick either Ohio State or Notre Dame, the only consensus is that there is no consensus beyond that. A source close to the program indicated Wednesday toNotre Dame received the last visit of Siereveld's recruitment last Saturday as the Middletown product made his way to South Bend for the Blue and Gold spring game. But Siereveld has also visited OSU twice this spring, most recently on April 16 for the Buckeyes’ spring game.
Siereveld received his Ohio State offer Oct. 30 when he visited Columbus for the Penn State game, and he camped with OSU last summer several times. There was a stall in the Buckeyes’ recruitment of Siereveld after he did not visit Columbus again until late March, and he hadn’t built a strong connection with newly hired offensive line coach Justin Frye until recently.
