Airlines are now coping with delays and cancellations, while passengers are coping with a new round of headaches after holiday travel. As of Wednesday morning, there were 1,742 flight delays and 206 cancellations, according to data from FlightAware.An alert from the system lets pilots know about “closed runways, equipment outages, and other potential hazards along a flight route or at a location that could affect the flight,” the FAA said in another Wednesday morning tweet.
