The Pixel 4 has a motion-sensing radar and three cameras in front
smartphone and this time, it’s all about motion sensing. Although it doesn’t come with a notch, the Pixel 4 will feature an extensive array of sensors on the front of the device. This isn’t just used for facial recognition but it can enable more possibilities with “ambient computing.”
As seen in the video above, the Pixel 4 will feature a Face unlock feature that unlocks the device in a single motion. Unlike the iPhone X’s FaceID feature, there’s no additional swipe up step required and Google claims that you can unlock using your face in any direction, even upside down. This feature can be used to authenticate payments as well as applications.
