The price of gas in Alabama went up 27 cents last week

The average price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Alabama is once again at an all-time high - $4.57, according to AAA Alabama.

AAA is reporting that gas prices increased 45 cents in Michigan over the last week, 41 cents in Illinois and Indiana, and 39 cents in Wisconsin. The average price of gas in California is $6.34, the highest in the nation. At the same time, gasoline demand in the U.S. rose last week as Americans hit the road for Memorial Day weekend.
