Today, the web is flooded with videos of tech-savvy users walking the streets with their Vision Pro headsets on. Although Apple is almost never the first in the line, when it does begin to move the pawn, the industry is often quick to follow. This is the case with Apple Vision Pro. Immersive technology devices occupied their niches on the market years, if not decades, ago.
Since XR platforms are marketed as high-end headsets for corporate activities, equality is a must. Imagine a virtual business meeting or product presentation in a company that moved to the metaverse. How will employees with visual or hearing impairments and wheelchair users participate in such activities? These questions don’t have answers yet, but all apps on XR platforms must be inclusive, and this will be the responsibility of SaaS developers.iOS 17.
So, obviously, there’s more to come and far more to achieve before we can confirm that the industry is ready for such innovations. For now, XR technology is a breakthrough the business world isn’t fully ready for.
