Which is why, exactly 2,777 years since the founding of Rome, our own streaming gods made this the Year of the Gladiator.It began on TikTok in late 2023 where men around the world were forced into pretending they regularly thought about the Roman Empire for likes. That trend, while brief, bled into 2024 and laid the groundwork for what was to come.
After his father took the imperial throne, he was tasked with finishing the job and suppress the Jewish rebellion in Judaea. He besieged, captured and then destroyed Jerusalem. This included turning the famous Second Temple to rubble. Ironically, while cataclysmic at the time, this would become one of the most pivotal moments in Jewish history, as it paved the way for rabbinical Judaism – the mainstream form of Judaism today.
