The reason the PGA campus spans 660 acres, in part, is because of two 18-hole golf courses. The entire property is much bigger, 2,500 acres. Thefrom banker Bert Fields’ former family ranch will someday include 14,000 new homes. While we’re counting, Omni’s piece of it has a hotel with 500 guest rooms; 10 standalone, rentable homes with four bedrooms each; four pools; and 13 restaurants and bars.
It would be natural to compare this property to the other major real estate developments in North Texas, which include the aforementioned restaurant parks plus The Star in Frisco and The Village in East Dallas . Or perhaps it’s similar to the destination resorts across Texas like Horseshoe Bay near Marble Falls, La Cantera in San Antonio and the massive JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort.
In addition to a large number of restaurants on the Omni PGA Frisco property, the restaurants themselves are also big. The Ice House seats 235 people inside and out and will sell barbecue and beer. The 13 restaurants and bars on the property include a supper club at the hotel and a colorful ice cream shop named. Margaret is the daughter of Blake Rowling, who is the president of Omni’s parent company TRT Holdings.
