Some Texas lawmakers have introduced legislation this year that would amend or expand the current laws surrounding marijuana in Texas.

Next year, South Carolina lawmakers will debate and possibly vote to join nearly 40 states that legalize some sort of medical marijuana. , marijuana is still illegal in the Lone Star State and progress toward legalization has been slow.
The Texas Legislature did pass a law in 2015 that allows the Department of Public Safety to manage a medical marijuana program, Known as the, the law allows for low-level THC medical marijuana to be purchased by qualifying patients. Here is a list of Texas state representatives who introduced legislation this year that would amend or expand the current laws surrounding marijuana in Texas.in March. If signed into law, Texas adults would be able to use, possess and transport no more than 2.5 ounces of marijuana, or 15 grams of marijuana concentrates. It would also allow Texans to grow no more than 12 marijuana plants on their private residence for personal use.
Texans would also be allowed to legally sell marijuana with a license and under certain regulations. The law would also enact a 10 percent sales tax on marijuana or marijuana products.
