Most beehives can be tapped for honey in the summer and early fall months. But to ensure your hive stays healthy, you'll want to check in on your bees regularly year-round. If you live in a colder climate, you'll also want to insulate your hive and make sure it's stocked up for winter so your bees survive the season.

Anderson suspects that this rich flavor is thanks to the fact that Flow Hive honey doesn't come in contact with any metals during the extraction phase. With a conventional setup, most beekeepers will also need to combine hive frames during extraction, mixing their honey together to cut down on processing time.
