A pest controller needed hours to remove the acorns from the wall of an Airbnb home in Santa Rosa, California.

Castro said he needed eight 40-gallon garbage bags to haul away the acorns. He posted pictures of the acorn onslaught on his Facebook page.that a pair of acorn woodpeckers poked holes near a chimney stack and were dropping the nuts inside. However, the nuts were falling through the wall cavity, where the birds were unable to reach them.
That didn’t stop the birds from storing the nuts. Castro says it took hours to remove all of the nuts, which eventually were hauled off to a dump. The holes by the woodpeckers have been sealed off. Castro tells sfgate.com he feels a bit guilty for throwing away the birds’ stash.
