Thousands of Hill Country residents have lost power while temperatures remain below-freezing around Texas. The Bandera Electric Company announced early Friday morning that rolling outages will happen in Bandera, Pipe Creek and Wharton's Dock. The outages are due to high demand as the utility seeks to maintain the integrity of the electric grid.
Due to the high energy demand and to maintain the integrity of our electric grid, BEC will have rolling outages in the Bandera, Pipe Creek, and Wharton's Dock areas. We will attempt to keep outages limited to 30 minutes.
