Thunderstorms and heavy rain move into the Houston area

Houston could see rain and potential flash flooding as a cluster of thunderstorms already drenching much of Fort Bend County made its way north Sunday morning.according to the National Weather Service

. The storms were producing one to two inches of rain per hour around 10 am., although the weather service expected the system to gradually weaken as it approached the Houston area. Parts of Houston are already seeing light rain and thunderstorms. A portion of south and central Texas, including the Houston area, is being monitored for a risk of flash floods. The chance of rain is highest for areas west of I-45 and south of I-10,
