Some storms could be strong to severe, with large hail, damaging winds surpassing 60 mph, and rain heavy enough to cause flooding possible.

Another round of thunderstorms are expected to roll into Dallas-Fort Worth Friday evening.

According to the National Weather Service, some storms could be strong to severe, with large hail, damaging winds surpassing 60 mph, and rain heavy enough to cause flooding. “Even a tornado or two cannot be ruled out,” the weather service said, adding the best chance for storms will occur west of the I-35 corridor after 7 p.m.

While there is a possibility for hail and strong winds Friday afternoon, chances of heavy rain and flash flooding won’t increase until overnight, said Jason Dunn, meteorologist with NWS.
