“We wanted to be able to do this more than once a year,” Allan said. “The response was enthusiastic, so we moved forward with the Halloween festival.” “They are hearing the original composition created by a music professional as it’s being performed to their silent film for the first time,” he said.“It’s a great opportunity for them to critically think about, how do we tell the story we want to tell,” he said. “I’ve had situations where they come to me … and say, ‘How do we do this scene without words?’”
