"By the time I got into high school in the early 2000s Nike had been making Retros of the original models from the '80s and '90s," Holbrook said. He started buying these types of pairs during that time out of nostalgia.Holbrook said he initially created his eBay account to sell basketball cards and some of his old Jordans.
The turning point came in 2011, when Holbrook bought two pairs of the Jordan 11 Concords for around $180 at retail and sold them each for upwards of $450.
