Northern California's Treasure Island Music Festival is going 'on hiatus for the foreseeable future'
Northern California's Treasure Island Music Festival is not returning in 2019, going "on hiatus for the foreseeable future," organizers announced in a press release Monday .
The festival relocated to Oakland’s Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in 2018 and considered returning until July when the Port of Oakland received a cease and desist from the Bay Conservation and Development Commission, arguing that the Port didn’t have the BCDC’s permission to stage the events at the park.
It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing today that the 2019 festival will not happen and is on hiatus for the foreseeable future.
