SINGAPORE — A Singaporean artist is among 10 people to receive US$10,000 each from Mr. Beast, a YouTuber who is known for his philanthropy and lavish giveaways.

Just hours before she learnt she was one of the lucky winners, she had posted on her Instagram account an illustration recreating Mr. Beast’s original giveaway post in her own artistic style. The task was simple: Participants were simply required to share his post to their personal Instagram stories, tag another person in his comments section, and follow him on Instagram for him to alert them should they win the money.

He started content creation when he was 11 and has since amassed 151 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
