A police patrol unit spotted the vehicle running through a red light in the early hours of Nov 20.
MUAR, Johor - Malaysia police are searching for a dark-coloured Toyota Hilux pickup truck after the driver led them in a 180km long chase across multiple state lines from Johor to Kuala Lumpur.
“Police told the driver to stop but he sped off,” he said. “We immediately gave chase and as the vehicle approached the Melaka state line, we requested assistance from Melaka police. ACP Raiz Mukhliz said they requested for more backup from Bukit Aman and Kuala Lumpur traffic police.“The vehicle crashed through the barrier at the Sungai Besi toll plaza and drove up a cliff, which our cars could not go up. The four by four vehicle then entered the opposite lane on Jalan Chan Sow Lin in Kuala Lumpur to evade arrest.”
