After meeting with CEOs at the White House, Trump agrees to grant 'timely licensing decisions' to U.S. tech companies that want to continue sales to Huawei
WASHINGTON—President Trump agreed Monday to grant timely licensing decisions to U.S. technology companies that want to continue lucrative sales to Huawei Technologies Co., as the administration seeks to restart trade talks with China.
The White House made the announcement after a meeting Mr. Trump held with chief executives from seven major chip makers and technology companies, including Qualcomm Inc., Intel Corp. and Alphabet Inc.’s Google unit.
