Trump is trusting his instincts and ignoring the advice of his aides regarding issues surrounding the trade war with China, the Washington Post reported.

National Economic Council director Larry Kudlow declined to comment in a CNBC interview Tuesday that he and other advisors disagree with Trump's trade war actions.

Trade tensions between the U.S. and China started last year but events this week have solidified investors' and White House aides' worst fears about the conflict being unresolved and staying that way until Trump is satisfied with a deal.after China let its currency weaken, crossing the 7 yuan-per-dollar threshold, and reneged on a promise to resume imports of U.S. agricultural products.

"China dropped the price of their currency to an almost a historic low. It's called 'currency manipulation.' Are you listening Federal Reserve?
