WASHINGTON – Republican Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden in six battleground states in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, according to a Wall Street Journal poll released on April 3 that cited concerns about the economy and Mr Biden’s performance.
The Biden re-election campaign is grappling with voter concerns about the US economy despite job growth, healthy spending and better-than-expected GDP increases, an issue that has vexed economists and Democratic political strategists. Trump got an unfavourable job rating for his time in the White House in only one of the seven states: Arizona.
