Two customers were recently hospitalized after a fire broke out at one of the lifestyle brand's stores in New York.Two Goop customers were sent to the hospital with burn injuries after a candle reportedly burst into flames at one of its New York stores.
Police said the incident occurred late last month during a small event held at the Sag Harbor location on 4 Bay Street. The two men who were injured told police that candles displayed throughout the store were allegedly filled with rubbing alcohol, “causing a large explosion,” as the East Hampton Star firstUpon arriving on the scene, police said they applied ice packs to the customers’ wounds.
A fire extinguisher was reportedly used to smother the flames at the Goop store, McGuire told People.
