UPDATE: Two new COVID clusters in Singapore; 8 local cases with 3 unlinked
Eight of them are domestic cases in the community, of whom five are linked to previous infections. This comes two days after authorities announced that there were no new domestic infections on Saturday – the first time in 76 days.
Two new clusters – "Case 64693" and "Case 64697" – were identified on Monday, bringing the total number of active clusters in Singapore to 22. Both clusters are linked to three and four cases, respectively. The ministry did not provide any details on both case 64693 and 64697, as well as the infections linked to them.
The MOH noted that the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 28 in the week before to 19 in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has increased from four in the week before to 10 in the past week. Over 62,000 cases in Singapore, or over 99 per cent of the total tally, have fully recovered from the infection.
